Cologne Stands Together and Shows What Is Possible
On December 2nd, we attended the German Developers Award (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis), and we are thrilled that we were once again able to bring several of our members along. A huge thank you to KölnBusiness Wirtschaftsförderung for making this possible. After a fantastic dinner at the Gürzenich, we moved on to the award ceremony, which featured many incredible teams and projects.
We were particularly excited about the nominations for the Cologne-based studios Papercoda Games, Spoonful Games GmbH, and neoludic games UG. As we say in Cologne: “Mer halte zesamme” (We stick together). And that is exactly what you could feel that evening. We are all the more proud that neoludic games didn’t just win once, or twice, but three times! It was a moment that made one thing clear: Cologne’s creativity truly carries weight
Cologne was also represented on stage: Christoph Kohlhaas appeared on behalf of the NRW municipalities alongside Friederike Rennen from Düsseldorf. For us, the evening was more than just an award ceremony. It reminded us once again that we need to give our indie studios an even louder voice, they truly deserve the spotlight
