An event that showcased the vibrancy of gaming culture in public spaces.
On Saturday the 07.02, the first German Pokémon GO Stamp Rally took place in Cologne – and all we can say is: what a day! As the Games Syndicate Cologne, it was a great pleasure to support this special event as an enabler and to bring it to Cologne together with strong partners.
The resonance on-site proved once again how significant Cologne is for the community. As one of the cities with the largest Pokémon GO player bases in Germany, the enthusiasm, energy, and engagement generated by this format were immediately palpable. At our booth, we had the pleasure of welcoming not only many familiar faces from Cologne but also players from all over Germany who traveled specifically for this event.
The direct feedback was particularly valuable to us. It clearly demonstrated the importance of such meeting spaces and how much initiatives that bring digital gaming culture visibly into urban environments are appreciated.
